Have Brunch with the Oldest Tree on Union Street

The restaurant’s namesake, Palmetto, is inspired by the regal Phoenix Canariensis palm tree that graces the entryway. The oldest tree on Union Street, it is said to have been planted in 1867 in front of the first mansion West of Van Ness Avenue, home of an important dairy that eventually gave the name of “Cow Hollow” to the district.
